    May I know as I heard around if this HS20 I mean ” video mode ” had the manual iris control or manual exposure or block it in some way it could be very usefull with too much back ground light like a white wall behind a person or on the snow to make the manual light correction where the automatism couldn’t and if you can make and stop white balance in video mode and if you can lock the focus in video mode you know I have HS10 and it has not all that and this is a great lack by fuji engineers

    Can’t wait to watch a full review so I can compare it to the Panasonic FZ100, which so far is the super zoom camera I like the most.

    @Rezaroth backiluminated sensors were introduced by Sony, but image quality is not just about the sensor, it also means good micro lens(tiny lenses that focus the light onto the pixel) and as the man in the video said, the pixels are rotated 45 degrees, that means the pixels are rotated round the edges to better focus and capture the light. Fujifilm is an old company with lot of experience in lens making and imagery now they are putting it to use with their new digital cameras

    @LTF85199 no it just tilts, doesn’t rotate

    @LTF85199 Yeah of course a vari-angle screen has more possible angles (a la EOS 600D, Lumix GH2, etc)… but the HS20 doesn’t have one. Just the tilt-angle vertical capability.

    @mahamza86
    wow thank you for clarifying it…I heard that Fuji cameras are better in recording light with very high dynamic range. is that due to the back illuminated CMOS sensor?

    @WhatDigitalCamera the side hinge gives you even more shooting flexibility than the simple up and down tilt. You have to try it to understand what I mean.. Try some of the canon cameras that have this feature.

    @Rezaroth @mahamza86 ^ Yup, what he said! :-)

    Sony makes these sensors for Fuji. However, the 16MP sensor as found in the Sony HX100V has the usual alignment of pixels on its sensor, the Fuji version has pixels tilted at 45 degrees and a different construction. So they’re potentially quite different, especially when coupled with different processors.

    I can already envisage an HS20 vs HX100V head to head…

    @bulldozerHW Theoretically yes. Although the 1080p resolution is the same, the improvements in the sensor should provide greater clarity.

    @LTF85199 It’s the very same design as per the HS10… just vertical tilt, i.e. waist level and partial over-head shooting positions are available

    sure hoped the swiveling LCD to be side hinged

    @Rezaroth wires that run between the sensor pixels are moved behind the pixels to allow more light to hit the sensor, that’s back illuminated CMOS Sensor.
    Sony Calls it Exmor R
